A Pemberton home is one of 10 grand prizes featured in this year’s VGH+ HomeTown Heroes Lottery.

Tickets for the lotto are available until July 10, or until tickets sell out, with all sales going to support VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, the leading charity investing in health-care innovation in B.C. According to a release, the Foundation raises essential funds for VGH, UBC Hospital, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre, and Vancouver Community Health Services, as well as supporting Burn Fund programs.

“The VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery continues to be a powerful way for everyone in BC to support the health care innovation that patients rely on every day,” said Angela Chapman, president and CEO of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, in the release. “Every ticket purchased helps fund critical medical equipment that leads to more accurate diagnoses, efficient surgeries, and improves access to care. With your help, we can save and improve lives across B.C. This is the power of plus. This is how you win with B.C.’s bravest.”

The 2026 lotto offers 11 grand prize options, and the ultmate grand prize winner can choose from homes in Vancouver, Langley, South Surrey, Pemberton, the Okanagan and Vancouver Island. Every grand prize home package is worth more than $2.6 million, and they al come with extra goodies, such as cars, furniture, travel gift cards (up to $75,000), and up to $1,325,000 in cash.

The grand prize winner also has the option of choosing $2.3 million in tax-free cash.

The Pemberton home will be located at either No. 28, 29 or 30, 4000 Sunstone Way.

“[T]his 2,026-sq.-ft. home* by Elevate at Sunstone features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a 460-sq.-ft.patio and a double-car garage. The prize package also includes a 2026 GMC Sierra EV, $40,000 cash for furniture and $725,000 in additional cash. The total prize package is worth over $2.6 million,” the release said.

Last year’s VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery raised $5.4 million for health-care in B.C., funding $203,000 in surgical instruments; $380,000 in sterilizers to protect patients from infections; upgraded endoscopes for more accurate cancer detection; new Retinal Surgery Platforms that deliver safer surgeries; and Urology Cystoscopes that improve access to care.

There are plenty more prizes to be won, including early bird giveaways for those who get their tickets early.
